Please submit a testimonial for Elegant Insights. We’d love to share your “bon mots” with our friends.

What’s a bon mot? In French, it means, “good word.” After a decade of offering beautiful braille jewelry, we thought it was about time to post some of the good words you’ve shared with us over the years.

We know coming up with something to say can sometimes be a challenge, so here are a few questions to get you started:

*  Do you love your Elegant Insights braille jewelry?  Tell us about the compliments you get, or how it makes you feel when someone asks you about it.

*  Did you have a positive shopping experience?  Let us know if we took good care of you.

*  Did we help you design a custom gift that was a big hit with your recipient?  Tell us the story.

*  Do you avidly follow our blog or social media?  Let us know if you find it entertaining or informative.

*  Do you enjoy our virtual or live events?  Whether it’s one of our Zoom live gift guides or an epic shopping event, tell us your experience so that next time we host an event, others will want to join us!

You are welcome to use your full name, although you don’t have to.  Your first name and last initial, the town in which you live, or nothing at all is just fine.

We may edit your comment for brevity and clarity, proofread for misspellings, perhaps, but we won’t materially alter your comments. Below you’ll find some of the lovely bon mots our customers have shared. We are so thankful!

A few good words:

“I just wanted to let you know that I received my necklace today and it is great! The chain is strong and durable and the pendent is well-made, with the initials clearly legible.  Thanks so much for doing a great job!”

“I’ve ordered a few pieces for myself and teenage daughter. We are both Braille users. I enjoy looking at the photos on the “Elegant Insights” website because they appear upscale. Perusing photos of Braille jewelry and charms displayed as they are depicts a sense of pride in Braille usage, hints that women who are visually impaired have better employment opportunities afforded to them nowadays, and implies that they possess “disposable income”. In past decades, which one of us would have owned Braille charms to adorn our wine glasses, purses, zippers, or canes?  These pieces and website images associate an “air of elegance” to the blindness community, which I have never witnessed before. Thank you for showing us in a new light.”

“There is a wonder in reading Braille that the sighted will never know: to touch words and have them touch you back.” – Jim Fiebig

“I love every aspect of this company, from its focus on excellent service and the personal touch to the beautiful, high-quality products it offers. Patronizing small businesses is important to me, and I am thrilled to support blind entrepreneurs in particular. Laura is accessible and willing to go the extra mile even during virtual events. In the near future, I plan to make more purchases from Elegant Insights Braille Creations and recommend that you do so, too!”

Suzanne

“The Braille on every item is beautiful–accurate, nice to touch, and clearly done with patience, pride, and precision. It’s great when a company is as excited about producing beautiful Braille as blind readers are about finding it. I’ve ordered dog tags for my own pups, my family’s pups and my friends’ pups–along with a few other things. The website is easy to navigate, and I love reading the product descriptions. Can’t wait to place my next order!”

“I am very glad to offer a testimonial about Elegant Insights and Laura Legendary’s excellent customer service. I am Jo Anne Stombaugh from Nashville, TN and to be honest, I’m not very much into jewelry. But I’ve been totally blind since birth and therefore have been an avid Braille reader since the age of 6. My husband and I will be married for 43 years this coming May; and I wanted to get him something really special last year for a Valentine’s Day/birthday present. My husband is fully sighted but has always been interested in Braille and was also in the army. Therefore, I settled on the military dog tag with the ball chain. But having never had vision, I wasn’t sure which metal to choose. Laura was very helpful in assisting me to make this decision and I chose the brass necklace. But then, I had a problem with JAWS trying to compose my short message to be placed on the dog tag. Laura immediately helped me out with this also. I could hardly wait for the necklace to arrive at my house. My husband was thrilled with the gift and he wears it every day and shows it to everyone. Elegant Insights is a great way to keep Braille alive and I can’t say enough about their customer service and assistance with choosing just the right gifts. I also like to listen to Laura on the Let’s Go Shopping events. I hope that this company will be around for a long time!”

“After Following Elegant Insights on twitter for around a year and marveling at all the great Braille jewelry ideas I finally decided to take the plunge and buy my wife a Candy Heart Charm Bracelet. In Talking with Laura I learned that I could even have gotten it custom made. For now I decided to buy the standard one and as a blind person I was amazed at how easy it was to do online with Apple Pay. Laura then called me back to make sure she had the right address for shipping, which I was grateful for because I had made an error in giving them my address. The bracelet came shortly there after and my wife was thrilled. She told me she could not wait to show it off at work. She is not a Braille reader but I told her what each heart said and she was pleased. She now proudly wears it and shows it off to all who will look and feel. Thank you, Laura, and Elegant Insights.”

“I wanted a braille key chain embossed with the inspirational words of a past
student of mine. It turned out exactly the way I imagined it. The
words were how I wanted them, the braille was excellent quality, and they
got it to me amazingly fast. But that’s not all. The customer service was
like nothing I’ve experienced from any other company. Laura not only made
sure to know precisely how I wanted the words on my key chain, right down to
the last dot, but she was also interested in the story behind why I wanted
it. Talking to her felt like talking to a good friend. You can’t get better
customer service than that.
Great company, great products, great people!”

“Last convention season, I purchased an NFB Live the Life you Want dog tag and I absolutely love it! As a blind customer, it is important for me to know what products look like just as individuals who are sighted would have access to this information. I really believe that Laura did an awesome job of describing what the NFB dog tag looked like. This really helped because I knew exactly what I was buying. I have also attended the Let’s Go Shopping events and I really enjoyed listening to them. The idea of having small businesses showcase their products and services over Zoom is such a good idea. I understand that putting an event like this together takes a lot of work and time, but it is all worth it in the end because it allows people to learn about these small businesses and then support them. I highly recommend everyone attend the shopping events Laura hosts.”

“I am Julie Dawson living in Memphis and it is my privilege to share my encouragement and delight about your new ventures including engraving as well as your specialty lines of products. You ordered for me a LSU luggage attachment complete with logo which says Tigers.
I have always had a positive shopping experience. I have always been listened to and Laura embraces new ideas. I have received compliments when I wear my Laura treasures and it is lovely to receive compliments on creative and well made purchases.
Your blog and social media is helpful and informative and I thank you for your work on our behalves. The customer always comes first.
I have attended every Zoom shopping event all day and they are stellar. Blind vendors are featured with a variety of products and services. It barely touches the surface of how fine Laura’s products are and her vision is ongoing!”

Sincerely yours,
Julie L. Dawson

“HI, this is Drew. I have had the privilege of purchasing several pieces of jewelry from Elegant Insights Braille Creations over the years. One in particular was for my twin brother. It was his first military deployment out of the united states, and I had him a very special dog tag made, that he still wears to this day. It was so special for me to give it to him in his time of need for family, even though I was so far away. Every time I purchase with Elegant Insights, it is more than a pleasant experience, it is a custom experience.”

“My name is Nini Urschel and I have been a customer of Elegant Insights for several years now. I first met Laura at a ACB convention as she had a vendor booth. I enjoyed meeting her and talking with her about her unique and beautiful jewelry. I purchased an item from her and then after the event spoke with her again and purchased once again. During my conversations with Laura we began to share with each other and I would hope to think we became friends. After my breast cancer diagnosis, surgeries and treatment, I reached out to Laura as I was looking for something special for myself. Something that could be a reminder to me of what I had gone through and that through all of the struggles and challenges I became stronger and I survived. After several conversations with Laura we came up with a design and set of jewelry that I absolutely love. I have a pair of earrings with the pink cancer ribbon, a matching necklace that says “Be Strong” in Braille and a matching bracelet that is beautiful and says in Braille “Survivor”. I wear this set often to remind myself that I am strong and a survivor. Not that I need the reminding it is just something that makes me feel better about myself and looks absolutely beautiful.

I continue to be a fan of Elegant Insights and mostly Laura. Whenever I am looking for something special, I like to chat with Laura and see what is available. She always makes me feel special and I am confident that no matter what I am looking for she can make it happen and it will be beautiful.

I have also participated in the Let’s Go Shopping events as a vendor and a shopper. Her amazing idea has turned in to something looked forward to by many and I hope that the event will be something that is continued for a very long time.”

“I received my package yesterday and love love love everything!

I will wear the celestial set tomorrow to work (working remotely today), and I have already attached my purse charm (giving the patriotic one a break). BTW, to have the necklace fasten in the front is a brilliant touch and will make that process easier!

Thanks so much for these truly unique jewelry pieces!”

Donna

“Hi Laura,

Thank you so much for the purse charm, I just got it in the mail today.  I have already put it on my purse – there’s a photo I just posted to Facebook as well (I attached it to this email as well).  I hope things are going well for you!  How did you make out at the summer trade shows?  I hope you sold boatloads of pretties :)”

Love,
Becca
